Battle of the Bands

Thursday was so much fun. The BOTB went really well, I think. I'm not actually sure how much money was raised, because i missed the SADD meeting yesterday (oops) but I think we did alright.
The funniest part was going to Wendy's. Katrina went home, got her car, picked Kayla up, came to school, got me Katie and Amanda, and we went to Wendys to pick up food not only for us, but for everyone else staying after to help out. We didn't realize just how much food that was; like about twenty-some orders. We went into Wendy's first because it was supposedly before the rush hour, but only one cash was open, so Kayla and Amanda are ordering, like, ten orders each, and a line was forming. Luckily, no one yelled at us or anything. But the line got so long that me and Katie decided to get our orders through the drive-thru. I had two orders, and Katie just had one, so that didn't take long. What took long was finding a way to fit all the food and drinks into the car around us. We all -except Katrina obviously- had a tray of drinks on our lap, trying desperately to keep them from spilling.
When we got to the highway, there was a police search going on, and Katrina freaked because she's only supposed to have 3 ppl in the car with her, so she pulled into a parking lot and we went back to school by the back roads. The funny thing was that by going by the back roads, we got stuck behind not one, but two tractors, one of which was doing some crazy driving at 30 km/hr. If we had gone through the police search, they probably wouldn't have cared that she had extra ppl in the car, but they probably would have searched through all our Wendy's bags, thinking we had drugs in them, especially seeing as we were all laughing like maniacs.
Of course, when we got back to school, no one cared about our heinous ordeal, they just cared that the food was cold. And in the process of trying to heat her burger up, Sara almost set a microwave on fire because she forgot to take the tinfoil off. Ahh, stress. It makes you do crazy things. Although that's the kind of thing Sara would do anyway...
Anyway, Chara won, which satisfied everyone. And there was a mosh pit on the last song, which freaked out the teachers. So overall, it went quite well, I think.
